The Spear Guard - Infantry of the Grove

Young recruits are marching towards the outer edges of the forest to bolster their defensive outposts, as a new foe from the barren steppes is venturing ever deeper into the woodland. Meagre in numbers and plagued by internal conflicts, the elves are unprepared to face the enemy on an open field.

The Spear Guard is the backbone of the army, fighting in locked formations and equipped with wicker shields, chest armors, spears and throwing javelins. Chitin Black-armor plates are extremely valuable and costly to make, they can be seen used sparingly on veterans or elite warriors.
